Prepare your students for prom, weddings, and a lifetime of movement by learning how to teach the Waltz and the Foxtrot in your Physical Education classes. There are similarities between these two ballroom dance styles along with one major difference: 3/4 timing vs. 4/4 timing. Take what you learn back to your middle school and high school classes and confidently teach how to lead (and follow) these dance styles. The session will include the basic box step, couple's left turn, and crossovers for both the Waltz and the Foxtrot. Participants will also learn the Murray Magic step in the Foxtrot which is a smooth, progressive dance step characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor.
