Looking for fresh activities that students will love and that support meaningful learning? This active session showcases engaging games and instructional strategies from the Five for Life® Program that promote fitness, skill development, and student engagement. Participants will experience standards-based activities, discover how WELNET® can streamline assessment and goal setting, and leave with practical lessons, games, and teaching tools they can implement immediately in K–12 physical education classes.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
  1. Implement standards-based instructional practices from the Five for Life® Program that develop motor skills, fitness concepts, and health-enhancing physical activity aligned with SHAPE America Physical Education Standards 1 and 3.
  2. Utilize WELNET® assessment and reporting tools to collect, analyze, and apply student data to support goal setting, monitor progress, and enhance student learning outcomes aligned with SHAPE America Physical Education Standard 3.
  3. Apply high-quality instructional strategies that increase student engagement, maximize moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, and foster responsible personal and social behaviors in physical education settings aligned with SHAPE America Physical Education Standards 4 and 5.
